Terms of Service

By creating an account on Plotwise(“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for every action taken under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

• Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel from the billing page at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• One-time add-ons are non-refundable once granted. They remain active permanently on your account.
• Recurring add-ons follow the same renewal and cancellation rules as plans.

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe any third-party intellectual property right
• Distribute malware or harmful code
• Attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

You retain ownership of all garden data you create on the Service (seasons, plots, plants, photos, notes, and harvests). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that data solely to operate the Service for you. We do not sell user content.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of uptime or fitness for any particular purpose. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

• You can delete your account at any time from Account > Delete.
• We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
• Deletion removes all your data within 30 days per the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and may require renewed consent. Continued use of the Service after a notified change constitutes acceptance.

Plant reference images are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their respective licenses (CC BY-SA 4.0 or public domain). These images remain the property of their original authors. Full attribution is available on each plant's detail page within the Service.

Plotwise includes an AI assistant powered by a third-party large language model (Anthropic). Suggestions from the assistant (planting timing, disease and pest identification, nutrient or rotation recommendations, plant facts) are informational only and may be incorrect or out of date.

• Always verify a recommendation against authoritative local sources (your regional extension service, a qualified horticulturalist, or product labels) before acting on it, especially when the action is irreversible (pesticide application, removal of a mature plant) or the crop is critical to your livelihood.
• The assistant cannot identify medically relevant conditions for humans or animals. Do not consume any plant or apply any substance based on a chat suggestion alone.
• Mutation actions (creating, moving, or deleting records in your account) are always proposed and require your explicit confirmation before any change is saved.
